Karl is a Design Director and Designer based in sunny London. He currently works on a freelance and contract basis. He works across the entire digital design space, from brand identities to user experiences to making things move with motion.


Originally from Leicester, he moved to Melbourne where he became a designer at George Patterson Y&R, working on a wide spectrum of clients from the Australian Air Force to Cadbury to the Melbourne Metro. After that, he lived in Copenhagen, working at design and advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Zupa, and Wunderman, working on clients like Danske Bank, Bang & Olufsen, and Pandora. He then moved to Toronto and became Design Director of JWT Canada, overseeing the Air Canada and Tim Hortons clients. He now lives and works in London, operating on a contract basis. A video edit and motion design reel for the NSPCC's Game Safe Festival, fostering online safety for children. Collaborating with developers, platforms, industry bodies, esports, and influencers to promote safer gaming practices.






Arsenal FC — Stadium supporter banners

Part of a broader project, I redesigned supporter banners for Arsenal FC. They had to reflect the global fanbase's passion while embodying the team's brand and being easily printable in large formats.








Arsenal FC — London Pride

In June 2022, GayGooners celebrated 10 years supporting London Pride. Members shared their Pride experiences, being the first football club represented at a march. Arsenal FC tasked me with creating a motion graphic reel for the parade tour bus.

The iconic Japanese electronics brand had extensive above-the-line material requiring creative repurposing for digital and social platforms. Collaborating with DentsuX, we launched global campaigns and managed translations for various regional markets.

BIP — Cardless Credit

Bip.credit is the only cardless banking app in the market. With DentsuX, we used their brand identity to create some snappy, kinetic style animations for their social campaigns.







Nokia: No Time To Die

Delayed twice due to the pandemic, Nokia's 007 movie social campaign had to adapt. Real-time social stories following Nomi's mission across cities were rolled out post confirmation of a new premiere date, all filmed with the Nokia 8.3 5G.









ADZU — Product redesign

Adzu is an online advertising deployment app revolutionizing how businesses launch mass campaigns in local markets. Using AI, adverts can adapt instantly to world events and market changes.









Hacne — East London clothing brand

An East London ethical clothing startup focuses on community involvement, allowing members to design and create merchandise. The brief was to craft a brand that is edgy yet simple, leaving room for future graphical elements.
